Hello my name is Angela Burns I am the owner of Dottie’s Daycare. I am a passionate childcare provider and I am a leader, teacher, student, and mother. I graduated from Seminole State College in 2011 with an associates degree in Child Development. I have lived in Shawnee since 2006 and worked at three local centers. I have successfully run my in home daycare for two and a half years. I have over twenty years experience working with children. My quest is to server families in the community with reliable and excellent care for your little ones.

Vision

While in our care your child will have the opportunity to particiate in a wide variety of activities which promote all aspects of development. Family childcare provide comfort and experiences of belonging to an extented family. We provide a home-like setting. Our approach to childcare is child centered and child directed. Children are offered choices whenever possible. A newsletter will be provided to you each month which will give a breif overview of what we are doing.

Our mission is to provide childcare that embraces children’s creativity in a developmentally appropriate
and resource rich play-based environment.

Philosophy

Dottie’s Daycare believes a child’s early experiences enrich and stimulate future growth. Children
deserve to be treated and respected as individuals in an enviroment that welcomes reason, exploration, questions, and imagination. We respect each child’s need for love, security, accecptance, warmth,
growth, and stimulation.
